This well laid out perfume is one of Oprah's top 5 fragrances of all time. My girlfriend has come across it reading O's online magazine and told me that, and before I could open my mouth to respond to that, we were already buying it from Amazon. My girlfriend is an Oprah freak; she thinks Oprah is a combo of an heaven-sent angel and mother Theresa.
That's I asked my sister to assist me with this review. I felt like my girlfriend could be a little biased and I wanted to keep my integrity intact.
The review
" Life is sweet. Treat yourself to something delicious… a playful side of pleasures that’s simply irresistible. .." – taken from Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight bottle description. I thought it was a little too much, really. The description is overwhelming and I personally thought it's a little off. It's not a "delicious" scent because delicious treats are usually sugary scents, and this one is not so much. The gentle caramel scent is backed up by vanilla, patchouli, lily and muguet.
The second layer, revealed after 10 or 20 minutes of wearing that perfume is of citrus – lemon and pomegranate are very much visible (or sensible).
Many people have claimed it smells a lot like Angel Innocent by Thierry Mugler but I do not concur. I think this one is a little more mature smell. Pleasures delight smells more like a combination of a fresh breath of air in spring time, with a tiny bit of food scents, while angel innocent has actually made me hungry when I smelt it for too long.
The small 1.7oz bottle is available for 27-30 USD on Amazon.com and it's a worthwhile deal. It's a solid perfume, top quality, lasts for a long period of time, sophisticated and not-childish and overall a good choice for day-time in summertime or spring.
